In November of 2013 I had to send some large files to Fedex for printing. They recommended I sign up to You Send It, which I then found out it was called Hightail. I signed up thinking that I was just signing up for ONE MONTH so I could send my document to Fedex for that one time for printing. Today, I saw this charge on my statement and went through all of my past statements only to find charges for every month since November of 2013. On my bank statement it just shows up as HTL*HIGHTAIL and I had no idea what this was until I searched into it and went through my past emails. My accountants do all of my reconciling for every month and they failed to catch the charges as well. Keep in mind that I have NOT used the "Hightail" account since I needed to use it for that first month. When I called to dispute the charges, they told me that all they could do was refund me for the past 3 months (out of 14!), which is totally unacceptable. I HAVE NOT USED THE ACCOUNT - it was clear (and even the woman on the phone admitted it) that I had made a mistake but they insisted there was nothing they could do. The woman "escalated" the matter only for them to email me saying there was nothing they could do because I typed in my credit card information. Which, yes, is true (thinking that I was signing up for ONE month) - if you look at their terms, they're written in extremely small fine print and that's their way of notifying you you'll automatically be charged??? I'm sorry, but this company is a complete scam. I would like to have my money back for the 13 months that I did NOT use this service or intend to buy from them. I WILL NEVER USE THIS COMPANY AGAIN TO SHARE LARGE FILES BECAUSE THEY ARE ONLY THERE TO SCAM PEOPLE. Unbelievable.
