I went into Conns expecting to purchase a new refrigerator and was told they had a program for helping folks with dinged credit,that program was RAC Acceptance and boy was I duped. Was originally told I could pay off in 90 days same as cash. The cash price of the refrigerator was 1499.95 so no problem or so I thought. Called to pay off and was told oh no you owe 3000.00 so I scratched my head and asked how that was and was given the run around. The whole process is designed to beat you down and wear you out, what should have been a 20 minute transaction stretched into hours so when I finally left I really did not know what I had signed. They tried to sell me on a "waiver" if someone broke in an stole my fridge, I said no and they put it on the contract anyway, so I scratched over the area and signed that I declined, they have charged me that fee every month regardless and when confronted they say sorry and put it back on next month. My sales person also charged me for an extended warranty I specifically said I did not want. My employer repairs appliances why do I need a warranty when I can fix it myself faster and better? Now one year later I have called them to come get this overpriced thing because I can pay cash and have no payments and no "waiver" or warranty put on me. I probably should have lied and said someone stole it and used the "waiver" that I have been forced to pay for against my will.
Not even the worst enemy of mine deserves to be ripped off this bad.
RAC Acceptance needs to change the shady way they do business. Aarons rentals is better at least they show you how they are burning you, not with hidden fees and waivers
