My son wanted to purchase an ipad for his father who is deployed in Afghanistan. He saw an ad for iPads for "$44.00". Withough my knowledge he "signed us up" and used my credit card he snuck out of the dresser drawer (his rational was I would be so mad over 44.00...teenagers!). He did not realize he had paid $84.00 just to participate in the bidding process. In fact, he did not know what the heck he was doing and before he realized he really messed up, he purchased an iPad for $449 in addition to the $84. I have emailed the 4 times and I HAVE HERD NOTHING. I want a refund and I do not want their product. I want no part of their operation. After reading all the terrible complaints, I am convinced I am out $553.00. Their terms and conditions claim a buyer can cancel a purchase, but my confidence in this company is dreadful. I would be very greatful and my perception of this company would sway in a positive direction if they refund my money asap. I really do not want to have to take further action, but I will. I work in the legal field and I am prepared to use my resources.
My son is grounded, and he has to tell his grandfather what he did and that is a bad day for him! I will keep everyone posted of my results.
