On 8/14/14, I ordered a range from Appliances Connection with the purchase of additional services for installation, stairs, and white glove delivery, all to the tune of $970.98. After 2 1/2 months of delay and multiple requests for information, the delivery truck arrived at my address, but the range was never removed from the truck because the delivery agents alerted me to the following damage: a stripped screw on the left front foot of the range, a side door that wouldn't remain closed, and a large scratch on the front of the range. Let it be noted that NONE of these damages were "cosmetic" or inconsequential, as claimed by Appliances Connection. I refused the delivery, and emailed Appliances Connection immediately (they weren't in office to receive a phone call), and after several more emails to their customer service, I was finally issued a "refund" on 11/20/14 . This refund is for $587.89, which is LESS than the range itself cost. The complete breakdown for what I paid Appliances Connection is: $789.00 (range), $116.99 (installation), $25.00 (extra stairs), and $39.99 (white glove delivery.) The company is refusing to refund me more than $587.89, claiming shipping charges and restocking fee (which is itself laughable, because they held my order for almost 3 months because they didn't have it in stock...) Appliances Connection provided no details for shipping costs on the original invoice, and I believe they're fabricating those costs to their own benefit. Moreover, I should not be required to pay $383.09 (the amount of the refund they deny me) for their poor business practices.
Their answer to my demand for a full refund was this: "Please click the link below for our full return policy. As noted by the delivery company their were only cosmetic issues to the item. Per our return policy:
•If you refuse delivery for any other reason besides a damaged product, you will receive a refund less the outbound and inbound shipping, rated at $0.75 per pound, and a 10% restocking fee.
•If you refuse the entire shipment if only a part is damaged, you will receive a refund less the outbound and inbound shipping, rated at $0.75 per pound, and a 10% restocking fee for the non-damaged merchandise."

I believe this company is scamming me., and judging by other complaints that I've since read, they treat many consumers in this fashion: they ship damaged goods and then attempt to subtract a large portion of the refund due the consumer to cover their own "mistakes". Their cohorts, J.B. Hunt, arrived at my address to deliver the range after a 2 1/2 month delay from the order date, and it was they who revealed the damage while the item was on their truck, which item I appropriately refused. Appliances Connection claims that J.B. Hunt reported the damage to be minimal; I neither believe neither nor trust either of the companies at this point.
Appliances Connection has not made good on their commitment to provide the promised goods and services of my transaction with them in a timely manner. They insist on shortchanging my refund. I do not have the stove for which I paid, I do not have the services for which I paid, and you may be sure I would NEVER do business with them again because I have 0% confidence in the ability of this business to deal ethically with their customers. They owe me a full refund for non-delivery of what I purchased; instead, they attempted to deliver substandard goods and are attempting to hold ME responsible for their error.
