A very misleading document was mailed to my husbands small business asking for more information to update his Yellow Pages ad. So staff did. One month later a bill for $1308 was received for one year of internet services and that this was a 2 year contract. Immediately, I called to cancel this contract. I left messages and sent faxes to stop this. When I finally got a hold of someone they said they had a signed contract and we were not responding with in the 30 days to void the contract. I told them I had tried but could not get through. We were not even aware of our mistake until the bill arrived. They have now been pursuing us for 2 years for payment and turned us over to a collecting company (Direct Factoring eood uec, Ireland) since they have now disappeared. This was fraud! And we are not paying. They are not the local yellow pages. I have since read that this has happened to other small businesses as well. I saw too many red flags!!
