There was an add on craigslist for a job as an eBay Sales rep, selling authentic autographed sports memorabilia. You sell the items and a "drop ship company" sends the items and you make a percentage of the sale. The "drop ship company" is supposedly called Affordable Collectibles Online (ACO), but there is no trace of the company anywhere. The sales manager, Scott, has a free gmail account, "[email protected]", which I never actually received an email from that address, just the automated craigslist email address. He wanted people to sell items such as authentic autographed baseballs, basketballs, footballs, etc., but all the pictures for the items were the pictures from big named sports memorabilia companies, such as Fanatic Sports, and Sports Memorabilia.com. After a week of having my listings taken down on eBay because I wasn't provided with the Certificates or Authenticity, he sent me a COA, which was the same exact same COA and item pictures for the item on Amazon. He couldn't provide me anything to show me that he was part of a company which has these products. He wanted me to put a 14 day return policy on the items, and $10.00 flat shipping, which seems legit, but he wants you to give him the money before they ship the item. And he didn't want me to sell on Amazon because of how long it takes Amazon to pay for the item. After having the listings taken down 5 times on eBay, he said I could try Amazon. Do not fall for this scam, you will give him the money for items that will never get to your customers, and you will get blamed, and not be able to lead law enforcement, or eBay and Amazon, or the customers, to the real scammer, and will be out the money you gave him for the items you "sold"! Please beware, I am sure he will change his name after I reported him to Craigslist. So watch out for this "company"/"guy"!
