This is to warn others who may hear from these scammers:

I first began to be suspicious due to the odd grammar in the email, and my husband on scanning the emails was certain this was likely fraud.

I then did a google search on "Wanda Tusing, Ohio", due to the suspicious details on how to send the balance of the check for security deposit to a "travel" agent in Ohio--- found the complaint filed by Marilyn against "Elizabeth Collins and Wanda Tusing", and it further confirmed to me the fact that I was subject to the same fraudulent enquiries in response to what I had advertised on Craigslist.

I then reported it to the Rental Manager--- she had the same assessment, and I halted the process in time. I wrote her a terse email indicating the check was shredded, and would not be deposited. I have shredded it. The check came in from a North Carolina address, we made no attempt to deposit it; has been shredded.

I was not the victim of any losses due to this, thanks to my husband, and then confirmed by the info posted on the scam board.

The apartment complex in question, Windsor Hills, has a good further safety check in that they require any sublease transfers to be scrutinized by their application process. Kimberley Madison in any event was held up there too: blocked. She was unable to fill in the application, lacking a suitable financial guarantor. Her "Boss" even sent me a text message, sounded suspicious, and was in yet another state.

Have had a repeat attempt at similar fraud: from a Mary Naji-
when I immediately replied to "mary haji" that I would shred, warning, no further emails were received.
