American Equity Foundation charged me a $299 membership fee and a $2,000 program fee with the promises of finding an investor to purchase the home I was living in and rent it back to me. The promise was that after a period of time, I would have the option to purchase the home at market value. AEF took my money and did nothing whatsoever to help me. All efforts to obtain a refund have failed.
