"Ernela" contacted me via sms, replying to a Gumtree advert. There was no number visible under the sender's name (withheld) just a message asking me to email [email protected] with more details of my item.
A quick google search shows many complaints on this site and others, also a user here in 2012 (filing a complaint of "oil889") lists a phone number in Nigeria : +2347034581970
I've contacted Google and Gumtree and asked them both to look into this, PLEASE DO THE SAME.
