Hi,
I have been getting continuous sums of money taken from my account by christianmingle.com and I have done everything I know about to get it refunded with no luck at all. The company is clearly very corrupt having read about the many unhappy customers that have also been scammed by the same auto renewal scam. I admit that I was in a vulnerable place when I decided i wanted to join a sight like that, pressures got to me and i made a split decision late at night. As soon as i realised it had nothing to offer me I cancelled my account. They fed me some rubbish about me agreeing to be a member for 6 months and were charging me $32 monthly. I was outraged, I would never have agreed to anything of the sort. And after the account was closed I was still being charged monthly because of some auto membership renewal agreement they have that still continues after you've left your membership. I have phoned the company and they said all the rules are written there in front of me and that I've agreed to them. This is clearly very sneakily done as so many people were not made aware of these agreements. They have now taken nearly $300 from me which is a lot when your working minimum wage. I've had no service in return, never found anything worthwhile on their site and only been greeted with rude customer service. It's clearly not a christian based site and it's manipulating many people. I have tried to get this money refunded by my bank but because I only have a debit and not a credit card its not so easy. This company must be stopped. Any advice on how I can get my money back would be ever so greatly appreciated. Many thanks, Claire.
