I was promised a "$100 Walmart shopping card" for a processing fee of $3.95 by My Family Saver.com. What I got in this bait and switch was an offer for $25 off a meal at restaurants forty miles from my home and very limited menus,a $25 a month rebate off purchases of $100 or more for four months, shopping coupons for groceries, or a $50 off coupon for expensive hotels I could,t afford even with a $50 off voucher. I had planned to use my walmart gift card for gasoline at Murphy's Gas, but the first offer explicitly excluded groceries and gas which is all I buy a hundred dollars worth of in a month on a limited retirement income! I protested the $39.95 charge to my credit card before the promised mailings of details and managed to get it off only by saying they could begin seven day trial over again and I would be remailed what I hadn't received. They gave me until August 21st to cancel without charge. I received their mailings on Friday, August 15 and Saturday August 16th. Today on August 17 Roadside Assistance (800-614-8672)billed me $34.95 but are not in their offices for me to ask for a rebate until Monday, tomorrow. It is not clear how much Auto Discounts (800-779-5902} wants but needless to say as with the rest of this junk, I can't afford this. I need my money promptly replaced in my account so I can purchase the drugs I need within medicare gap and am paying $300- $600 apiece for now! I will be calling My Family Saver for the cancellation of $39.95 monthly charge and asking for either the promised $100 Walkmart shopping card or my $3.95 back. I will also call all the other mailings and tell them to cancel and not to charge me as I am canceling well within the 7 day trial of Aug. 14-21. The letter from myFamily Saver was also addressed as group 1638 Great Rewards LLC. I'm looking for email addresses to send this to them as well but they are difficult to find. In that process I came up with this complaint web site.
