Was looking for a rental in the Denver, CO area and came across a rental at 4461 Vrain Street on Zillow. I contacted this man via email, phone numbers are 619-800-2082 and 626-600-1027, one is for calls and one is for texts. I tried calling him one evening and he didn't answer. He wanted me to wire a deposit, which I refused and said I would be willing to send a check. He gave me the name and address of the 'owner' of the property--Howard Moody, 5823 Charlie's Dead End Rd. Efland, NC 27243. I googled the address and it exists, but was still skeptical. I searched the address of the rental house and the REAL listing came up on Trulia. I called his number again, this time he picked up and I told him he was scamming. He said he was not and wanted me to rent the house and finally he hung up after he figured out I knew what he was up to. I contacted the true renter and cleared everything up. Luckily I didn't send any money. Be aware of scams on Zillow!
