I cancelled my so-called free trial of both luma repair & luma hydrate via email, after I was apalled to find the company had already deducted $187.50 from my bank account.

The company responded via email almost immediately to notify me that my "membership" had been cancelled, but I noticed that no mention was made of a refund. Suspecting that I'd been the victim of a scam, I then emailed Lumanelle customer service to demand a refund. I have sent no less than 4 emails to Lumanelle customer service since 7th July (3 weeks ago) but they obviously don't like (and are actively avoiding) the word "refund" as I have not had a reply since 7th July 2014.

There is no mention in the small print of this practice (i.e. automatically debiting accounts when free trial period expires) when signing up for this free trial (and if there is it is so well hidden that a college/university law graduate would have a hard time finding it, because I read it and saw no mention of this said!).

As a last resort attempt to get a refund, I will now attempt to contact them by phone, although I fully expect to be given the run around as so many others have reported.

These products are no better than over-the-counter products that are a fraction of the price and the pumps on both products do not work at all (one is forced to dig out the product with a Q-tip). There is not one thing about these products that would entice me to spend $5 on either of them, let alone the ridiculous asking price of $187.50 (for both products), which is obviously why the company uses such dodgy and evasive methods to get money out of people under the pretence of a "free trial".

This is the first time I have participated in a free-trial offer of any kind and I have to say that after this one & only negative experience, I will never, ever trust or participate in a so-called "Free Trial" offer again.

My advice to others is Byer Beware - you will be fleeced by Lumanelle! I'm not the only one - just check out the reviews online & you'll see there's no shortage of schmucks like me who have fallen prey to Lumanelle's fraudulent claims.
