On May 3, 2014 I ordered a video camera from Closeout Digital. They questioned the European model and I said that was ok. Delivery date was expected within 4-6 weeks. So far so good. After the alloted time, I contacted the company and was informed that the product was coming from Japan and they are expecting to get it around June 19 (just outside the 6 week time frame - ok). I was told a tracking number would be emailed to me four days prior to delivery. The week following the June date, I again called inquiring about the status of my order. I was told that it was in transit, I should expect a delivery on June 27, and was given a tracking number. I tried the number, no number found. I immediately called back and was told that it was the right number and that a link would be sent to my email showing what he was 'looking at'. I never got that email. And why IS an expensive piece of video equipment would be shipped USPS and not USP or FedEx? Latest delivery date given, July 9. Called them on July 9 and was told that it had shipped from their NY warehouse the prior week. Still no delivery or activated tracking number (nor have I received an email stating that it had been delivered and given the proper tracking number). Now unable to get through via phone or email (no replies to emails). 66 days after initial order and I have yet to see the camera I had purchased. If I had spent just a few extra hundred dollars, I would have had my equipment in a fraction of the time (I would actually HAVE it in my hands, not out over a grand). I DO NOT recommend this company AT ALL.
