Caller with heavy Indian accent convinced me calling from Microsoft. Notices of viruses and attacks coming into main server and one hour to fix and block or all information on computer would be obtained by hackers. Talked me into run so he could show me all the events. Told me what my "Microsoft" registration license number etc. My gut was telling me it was a scam; they were very convincing and I fell for the scam. I ridiculously gave them access to my computer and credit card info. I cancelled my credit card this morning. I'm horrified I fell for this scam. After I had provided cc info I was transferred to a supervisor who said something about call being recorded and asked at the end if I agreed to whatever he had just babbled about. I told him NO as I was told in the beginning of phone call that they were Microsoft and receipt was UTH and that I knew I had been scammed.
