This company called my 90 year old father and scammed him out of $249.00 by scaring him into thinking he had a computer virus because Microsoft no longer supports XP. My father gave out the credit card number and spent four hours on the phone with some guy named Alex Williams. What did he fix? Heck if I know as unfortunately I live 5000 miles away from my father'. Fortunately, I was trying to get a hold of my father on the phone and when I finally got through he said told me what he had done. I immediately called the credit card company and cancelled the card.

The credit card company didn't think it was a scam. I can't say it is either until I get back to my father's house in a week. I'll check his computer. For all I know they could have installed some spyware software that could be sucking the life out of his computer, at best, or a worst...stealing my father's ID. I advised him not to turn the computer on until I get home.

I'm very upset that these people pray on others who are not savvy enough to smell something suspicious. For God sakes, they "sold" my 90 year old father a two year contract on a ten year old computer.
