My webcam was not" connected" when looking for a Lenovo driver install site I somehow got connected to Driver Support ( Ashish Chaukau, a person with an Indian accent). He smoothly signed me up for his program after getting my credit card info ( my first mistake) the told me that it was not just the driver. There were numerous infections and my Norton Antivirus program did not catch them.
He then touted me to TechLiveConnect in New Delhi ( I am sure they are pals). Who confirmed my dour status ( might loose my laptop you know). So stupidly I signed up for a year (349.99) with them and then the Indian accented salesman pointed out that my wife's computer could also be infected through out LAN. So " because I was a senior citizen" I got a two year service for 2 years for another $300. Stupid, stupid seniors citizen.
They started on my problem with a low level tech who spent all day upgrading my drivers and supposedly removing junk. My Norton antivirus program worked fine according to this low level group.

Yesterday I stopped payment on the Driver Support payment and the $300 for the TechLiveConnect extra year.
I have decided now that computer experts with Indian accents are not trustworthy even though there may be good guys amongst them.
My loss is now $ 349.99 since I feel I have to pay for the one day service ( by the way my webcam driver stopped working again).

Hopeless is it for a user without knowledge to find a trustworthy repair or update guy. India is NOT the place
