I request a refund as I feel I have been scammed by PC Driver Headquarters
I had some trouble with my laptop Computer with updates so I thought I would get in touch with Hewlett Packard support group the maker of the laptop with I thought I did.
Yesterday I got an email from Driver support which had my model number etc and to ring an 1800 number which I did, and this Indian gentleman came on line and was very hard to understand, after a while he said that yes they can fix the updates and make my laptop go faster, he said he would diagnose my laptop and see what the problem was, and to do a rescue from remote on it which he did, then he said that I have a lot problems with the laptop.
There was a number of Microsoft programs stopped or lost and the Norton’s Security was not the correct one for my laptop and he gave me a couple of options and one of them was that he can get in touch with the Microsoft Corporation, and he can connect me to them and it would cost me $399,90 to fix Laptop, this is when I became worried because within less than 15 seconds he had me connected to Microsoft trouble shooters who was another Indian gentleman and after talking to him for a minute I said I will do it later, and he switched me back to the original chap who said what is the problem, I then said if it going to cost me that much I might as well buy another Laptop and he said we can fix it for you I said no bye and that was it.
Later in the afternoon I was talking to a family member who dropped in and I let me have a look at the laptop and he said there is nothing wrong with Norton’s security and I will scan it and update things for you, and it is working perfectly.
So I think this company is out there scamming People
