This company is also called GLOBAL TEL LINK and CheapJailcalls.com

My initial call was to CheapJailCalls.com (which later told me they were Global Tel Link) charges me a total of $39.90 for the issuance of a number for our loved one to call from a correctional facility in NY. After issuing a number they said that I needed to call Offenderconnect.com because they are the ones that have the local numbers which are cheaper and that they owned the communication lines in Sullivan, NY. When I called offenderconnect.com they asked me to deposit $50.00 to have minutes in the account. From that amount they deducted a $7.95 set up fee. That same night I started getting strange calls from people I did not EVEN KNOW. The next day I complained to both companies but they both said they could not refund my money, because my money had been applied to the wrong company called VCONNECT and supplied me with their #800 number. When I called VCONNECT they said the account I had provided did not belong to me, and it was under someone else's name, therefore they could not refund me my money. I lost a total of $89.90 on this SCAM.
