I was also contacted with almost the same scenario as the previous complainant "fellforit" - the high-pressured speech, giving the technician access to my computer & seeing the EVIDENCE of "viruses and errors" on my computer. I was told my computer was seriously compromized. When I accessed my VISA statement online I was billed by "cyberastro ltd., gurgaon" - this company is also not so reputable and there are numerous complaints on scambook regarding that particular company as well. I was unsuccessful in contacting Teche4Pc on either their Canadian or U.S. voicemail systems. I sent an email & received a call from "Customer Service" 14 (fourteen) hours later at 11pm. their service rep. told me I was a "fool" because I didn't understand computer technology - it was the most outrageous "Customer Service" conversation I've ever had. The tech. "Larry", screamed at me the entire time, most of the rambling was not understandable because of his strong accent. I then contacted VISA & explained what happened - they advised immediate cancellation of my VISA card with new/replacement VISA # in order to prevent further billing by this company. However, if the plan you have purchased is greater than one year it's possible they may charge you again & billing may be transferred to your new VISA card #. The company thru which I have my VISA card is currently investigating both companies, however because Teche4Pc "cleaned" my computer of its viruses, I may not be able to recouperate any credit because a service was provided. I would seriously suggest changing your VISA card # to protect yourself as much as that is possible. This was strongly advised to me by VISA, since my credit card was now considered compromized. This still may not protect you from future billing by the company, but at least they don't have your new VISA #. This has been a wake up call for me. it's also been a headache contacting the companies who automatically bill my VISA card on a monthly basis.
