We made a purchase at Charming Charlies and were invited to sign-up for coupons and promotions, but were actually charged for subscriptions to Lucky and Glamour magazines and later charged on our credit card.
The odd part was my wife used her email for the promotional emails, but the company charged my credit card that was used for the purchase, which she not approved to use. The fraud department at my credit card are blocking the charges and the CNP magazine were very friendly and just as concerned about the problems they are having with Charming Charlies practice of signing customers up for their magazine subscription that have not approved or been made aware of by the customer. Charming Charlies has quite the scam going in being able to use peoples credit cards for other peoples emails and approving magazine subscriptions the customer has not agreed to sign-up for.
We are returning all of the merchandise to Charming Charlies and never returning to the store.
Buyer Beware of their "PROMOTIONAL" scam!!!
