Dear Sirs,
On 10 March our credit card statement showed that £2.99 to which I agreed for a 30 day trial of RVTL face cream, had been debited to our account. However, on returning from holiday we discovered that on 26 March you had charged £89.00 to our credit card and on 11 April a further sum of £95.95 to which I had not agreed.
With great difficulty, I managed to find your 'Terms and Conditions', which had not been drawn to my attention at the time of purchasing the £2.99 'free 30 day trial', and found that your company had 'locked' me into these payments. As pensioners we cannot afford the loss of this money and a '£2.99 30 day free trial' has become the most expensive face cream on the face of the planet.
Furthermore, another '30 trial' package has been delivered to my home which I neither requested nor expected. That '30 day trial' unopened package has been returned to your company with a covering cancellation letter. We have also informed MasterCard that no further payments requested by your company are to be paid.
I am sending the information on your 'Terms and Conditions' and shabby, underhanded practises to Trading Standards for their consideration
