Company is operating a website very similar in design to the DVLA website for renewing your vehicle tax disc. Except they charge £40 for the privilege. This information is hidden in a subsidiary page called service charges, which you have to specifically look for. In the normal process of applying for the tax disc, their website looks almost exactly the same as the DVLA website. At no point do they confirm the price to be charged, not even on the order confirmation email. They actually have charged me £45 over and above the tax disc cost, but have not provided a tax disc. They claim they cannot refund me against the debit card I paid with, but require my bank details in order to refund me. I am now suspicious enough not to provide them with any more personal details. They are also proposing to charge me an £8 administration fee for the refund.
