OPP are warning the public of a scams by sellers on kijiji attempting to sell 416 numbers,in order to gather personal information on the buyer. Anyone selling numbers for $20-$70 is a red flag,considering to start up an account is at least $30-$50. It does not add up,and thats a red flag! No transaction should be done over the phone. Be aware,be alert,and always meet the person at a carrier. e.g. bell,fido,and so on. Look up sellers on google,or Bing when your looking to buy something on line. Always have a friend with you when your looking to buy. Selling should be done in a care full way. Always have a meeting place,let Family, and Friends know about the transaction.
