Searching for a website to buy a new mobile phone, we found Tematek.it. They appeared to have the best overall deal in the Italian market at the time we were searching and came up at the top of a search on trovaprezzi.com, a popular search engine for online shopping. The website appears to accept credit cards to purchase their products, but in the end, they requested a bank transfer. Wire transfers are actually very common in Italy, and unfortunately, we wired this person's Italian bank account the sum of the phone. When the phone didn't arrive in a timely manner, we requested to know where the phone was in its transit through a generic contact form located on their website. The response was that while the receipt of the transfer had been received from us, the transfer had not appeared in the corresponding bank account yet and therefore no product had been sent. When we responded to this email, the "seller" repeated the first email. On closer inspection, the merchant information, paymall.com, has a UK address with a US mountain time phone number and is listed on this website, scambook.com, and having a large amount of complaints.
