I also have been bitten by the Amir Crowd Fund scam.I see at least two others have submitted complaints via scambook.com.
Mine is no different he took $500 as a deposit on a CF campaign and has delivered nothing except excuses. Some of the best were can't meet on a holiday (he set the meeting), death in the family (grandfather)and now sick in the hospital (gallstones). He refuses to respond to emails and phone calls until you chase him every minute of the day!
He finally said he would pay the money back and he has not...it has been 3 months. Be very careful , he is a good talker and very aggressive when it comes to getting the money, but non-responsive after that. I also called the references and they vouched for him. He is on Linked IN, Facebook,and Elance also.
