Concident with an internet provider upgrade DriverSupport was downloaded to my PC hard drive. It created pop ups on my screen and when I investigated the program through the Control Panel I found it was taking up 10MB. It was trying to sell me on a $30 program and I was to click on a key that DriverSupport would provide. I didn't want the program and didn't do this. So I tried to uninstall the program and recieved the "preparing to uninstall" dialog box but then a second box with a security alert overrode it that asked if I wanted the program to update software on my computer. Right, software from an unsolicited source. I contacted Mike who's response was simply "the uninstall should be marked". Duuuh. Nothing about the second dialog box. So I removed the desktop shortcut, stopped the process from the control panel, and deleted the program from program files. But the program listing persists in the Programs and Features list. I'm not sure what damage it's doing to my computer. The appearance and behavior of the S/W does not engender trust. The dollar amount is nominal until I find out what damage it's done, if any, and what it will cost to completely remove it.
