This is just a general warning that they may be calling you too and to be prepared. My mother received a call today and was told she had one 3.5 million and a Mercedes which will be delivered on a preset date and time all she had to do was have a prepared cashiers check ready to cover handling costs. My rather wise mother humored him for 2 hours before requesting he call her back. Which he did and she just had him explain over and over again what it was that she needed to do and what she was going to get...basically she acted dumb and that she was falling for it the whole time. After the third call back, my mom was tired of the game so she filled him in on the punchline and she said that she already did research on the company and she knows that it is a complete scam and told him to quit calling her. A few minutes later he indeed calls back. This time I answer it and get an earful from this man (he was assuming I was my mother, the one he had been talking to all day) about how he had spent all this time explaining the sweepstakes and he was told that she was going to get the cashiers check for the handling fees and mid-rant I stopped him (loudly) and informed him that I did not appreciate his tone and that the next time he runs a scam to do a better job at it and reminded him that my mother asked him not to call back...to say the least he hung up on me. If it sounds too good to be true than it probably is, if you really won something you would have remembered entering the sweepstakes to begin with. Please people, my mother was smart by keeping him on the phone this probably saved 5 or more people from being scammed as well. Thank you scambook.com if not for this website we would never be for certain if this was a true scam or not.
