On the Saturday 8th March, I had been looking online for a small loan and did not know that my details had been used and money taken by this company, no agreement had been made, nor any contracts have I seen.

I Was notified by my bank that money had been taken out of my account on the 10th March 2014. The bank gave me the details of 3 individual companies Loans Direct, Loan Zoo and Credit Maze. I have since found out that Click4profit Ltd are the registered business but they trade as, Remedy Loans and Credit Maze. Think a few other names too.

I contacted Loans Direct and they have agreed to cancel 'so called membership'. I contacted Loan Zoo, they have said they are going to refund me on the 8th April, but Credit Maze aka Remedy Loans aka Click4profit are not answering calls, not answering emails and I have today 12th March 2014 sent a special delivery letter demanding a refund with immediate effect within 7 days of the date of my letter.
I have also contacted citizens advice who are contacting Trading Standards and I have advised Click4profit that my next port of call will be the OFT Office of Fair Trading.

  • Hello, this has happened to me also after applying for what appeared to be a loan. On the 6th of March, £69.72 was taken from my bank account under the name CreditMaze. I had no idea who they were so I checked online to see if I recognised the website and I have never ever been on that website in my life. I also checked my web history and my computer has never been to their website.

When I phoned the company to enquire they had no idea who I was until I gave them my details, which I thought was strange. They didn't shed any light on situation at all and just told me that I had done it and that I have been offered 100's of loans and phone contracts etc in return. I asked him if there was anyway to cancel this or get a refund and he told me I had to write a letter which I have done.

I phoned my bank Halifax, who were also very unhelpful and told me that there was nothing they could do, even though I had told them that this money has effectively been stolen from me.

I posted a signed for letter on Wednesday asking for a refund and to stop whatever is going on immediately and have had no response so far. My next step is to contact Action Fraud (Police), Watchdog, and raise a formal complaint against my bank through the Financial Ombudsman

I dug around and Credit Maze is owned by a company called Click4Profit Ltd. as stated in Karmen's message above and have offices located in London and Bournemouth.
