I heard an ad on the radio for a consumer study where I could get $2000 worth of groceries for free. I called in and the man, Logan Johnson(ext #1863), told me I qualified based on my answers. (My zip code, how much I spend a month on groceries, etc.) I gave him my address, and then he said the shipping fee was $19.95. I asked why, and he said it was also a fee to help cover the cost of tracing the bar codes from items I buy. He said the vouchers were just like cash, and I could buy anything that has a bar code, as long as it wasn't alcohol or cigarettes. He was also going to send me a $40 gas card. He also ended up signing me up with 3 other companies that you have to cancel with in the 1st 30 days, or you'll be charged monthly fees from them too. That cost me $1.95 fee for the 1st month for those, which I said I didn't want, but he added them on to my total anyway... which is why my total isn't exactly $19.95.
I was in the car when I called, and was on my way to a chili cook-off at my church, so I was in a hurry to get off the phone. We've been struggling with groceries lately and I just felt this would be a big help. I guess that's why I actually gave him my debit card info, which he had me repeat like 5 times! I feel so DUMB! I'm going to call my bank tomorrow to see if they can stop the payment... Also, if you call their # it says their business house are Mon-Fri from like 8-5 or something... I received this call on a Sunday afternoon! Grrrrrr!!!!!! I'm so mad I've been had! I want my money back! I want this "company" shut down!!!!!
