I bought the Samsung Galaxy S4 GT-i9505 from eGlobal a couple of months ago. The first weird thing that I didn’t pay attention to was that I thought the company was based in the UK, and that I was dealing with a UK based company. After the confirmation of my order I found out they are based in Hong Kong. Obviously, if I wouldn’t have myself fooled with their UK number and domain, and read further on their website, I would have found out it’s a Hong Kong based company. First and last time!
In the beginning all seemed great, the phone seemed real and looked new, until after 4 months normal (never dropped the phone or let it near water, sand or whatever that can cause damage) usage the phone suddenly died a black screen of death, just before Christmas 2013. I contacted their RMA department immediately, and sent several mails, but they only responded after the New Year. So All this time, two weeks without a phone I paid the full price for it, thinking it’s genuine and brand new, after emailing back and forth, with time difference it takes a day or two to get answer from them, it took 1,5 months to send the phone (I paid for the shipping) back to eGlobal for repairs; turns out there was a default in the motherboard, and they had to change this. When they sent the phone back to me it appeared I couldn’t make calls e.g. when I call there is no dial tone and the other side can’t hear me when I pick up, and I can’t hear them.
I told eGlobal about this and expressed my worries if the phone is a perfect Samsung Galaxy imitation or a refurbished one. Obviously they ignored this fact. When I asked them for a refund or sending me a new and genuine Samsung Galaxy S4, they told me with their warranty they can only repair the phone (so that I can risk finding another fault and sending the phone back and forth at my cost?), and otherwise send me a refurbished one, which I believe they sold me as new or otherwise a really good fake copy of the real Samsung Galaxy S4.
The biggest mistake was trusting this company and spending over 400 Pounds for a fake or refurbished Samsung Galaxy.
Warning: don’t deal with this company unless you want the headache. Their products are not genuine, their customer service is horrible, and if the products are genuine, they will sell you refurbished products as new.
