A few days before Thanksgiving, 2013, I had to resort to a payday loan to supplement a family member's visit from out of state. The loan was for $675.00. I did not understand the loan process of repayment, and when I received confirmation of payment, I sadly realized that I was paying a very small percentage of the loan, and that the payments removed from my account bi-weekly was only going towards the principal. Needless to say, my ignorance cost me well over $1,800 to repay a loan 1/3 of the amount. When I was in a position to pay the loan off in full, I did so, feeling stupid and fully taken advantage of, but determined to remove MaxLend from my pocket. I was truly a "money cow" for this program, fraudulantly designed to help people in a financial bind. Rip-off artists are most appropriate in rating this program. Then, to add insult to injury; they had the ordasity to call my place of employment, reach my supervisor to get to me, and offer me another loan of $675.00 with a $50.00 bonus and a discounted repayment percentage. Not once during the course of the loan did I receive a courtesy call to remind me that I was being ripped off. They can kiss the ass of this money cow, as I would never use this service again in life, and I highly recommend that this information is made known to the world, advising people to stay clear of programs such as this.
