I was trying to use my Wal-Mart Money Card that I have had for 7 years and used everyday but it would not work. I called every number they have and could not speak to a real person. Finally after a lot search on the internet I found an activation that I called and sat on hold for 45 minutes and got a real person by the name of Travis ID#27251 of whom informed me that Green Dot had closed/cancelled my account, and I am no longer allowed to have a Green Dot card. When asked why, the rep simply said because of unusual activity. When I asked what that meant as the WM card was for gas and hotel and everyday needs, they said 'Green Dot reserves the right to not tell me what I have supposedly done' I asked to speak to a supervisor or a person whom could tell me but he said : I am the supervisor and no I will not transfer you to anyone else' So, if I suspected fraud because of this, who would I talk to or what would I say since I have zero information? I feel this is discrimination and should not be be allowed. I need this card do to the fact I travel for my work and my banks are not in the towns i am in. I also could not get money transferred from an online saving account that they offered to me. They still have my money with no resolve.

I have done nothing wrong. I have not bought nothing that was illegal or wrong. I fallowed their rules. I read the card agreement and have not broken any rules they have. I paid there monthly fees and deposit fees and the cost to purchase their cards. I can give you my account history to prove this and i have requested for them to review my account again to see the mistake they have made But they have refused too. I have spent a lot of money with them.

I would like to have my account reinstated or the money i have spent refunded.

  • they just did the same to me.
    my account was suddenly closed without warning.
    on the card is the money i need in order to move in 9 days.
    this will also stop my direct deposit which will take 15-30 days to be fixed.
    i am going to end up losing the apartment i was trying to move into in 9 days, as well as end up homeless where i am now.
    they have single handily ruined my life, and my families lives, by doing this at such a crucial time.
