Hopefully I can still get my money back. I really need to read terms and conditions before committing to charges like this. First off, I created an account a few days ago. I didn't want the subscription to auto renew, so I contacted billing support to have that feature removed. After three or four emails offering better deals, I insisted that they just make sure that the membership is canceled by the end of the month. I guess they took this to mean that I wanted them to cancel it outright. The $22 that I was charged no longer appear on my bank statement.

So, I kept looking around on the site and found somebody I thought was particularly interesting. I tried contacting her, but soon realized that something was off, because she kept visiting my profile, but didn't respond to my messages. Assuming that, due to my billing issue, my email privileges had been revoked, I resolved to create a new account. Terrible mistake!

When I hit the button for the premium membership for one month, something went wrong and I was diverted to a third party that took my bank account and routing number. It worked, but I soon discovered that my 1 month membership had magically become a 12 month membership. A little while later, I decided I should read through the terms and conditions and discovered the bit about the virtual cupids. Turns out that the girl I was trying to talk to, as well as about 99% of the girls in my area were these virtual cupids. I went through all of them and all but about five had the subtle little VC logo in the top right.

So now I'm trying to get my refund. According to their terms, in section 7, I have until Wednesday to cancel without penalty. They have this weird clause, when you go to contact support, that says if you try to contact them twice within a 24 hour period, your ticket will drop to the bottom of your list and the response will be slowed down. I'm hoping that I can get my money back, but I don't know.
