got a call from fort Lauderdale, fl from someone claiming to be with publisher clearing house. I'm filing a fraud report and if they refuse to return my money or threaten to put it in collections i will let them know they will be speaking with my attorney. 59.80 isnt what they told me, it was 5.98 and they must have "accidentally" added the extra zero. shame on me for falling for it. I was getting 5 magazines and a geniva diamond watch (i got a choice of mens or womens) they asked if i wanted another magazine so i said sure and basically told me i got 4 for free and the other one was 3.66 a week, i asked about monthly and they said 5.98 .. so i told them to take the 5.98 a month out on the 1st of very month for 16 months... they immediately took it out and it was 59.80 and i thought what?? For 16 months?? That comes out to $956.80 they were trying to scam from me. The guy also said i was a finalist to win 25k, a brand new 2014 ford escape hybrid, or a all expense paid vacation to rome or hawaii and that drawing would take place on 4/30. Before tgey got my card information they asked which card company preferred, visa, MasterCard... i didnt know why that was important, they told me they hope i win the next drawing.. sick sick people.. The number on my bank account from the transaction is for magazine warehouse. This is a sick scam to steal people's money and they must be too lazy to make it in a legitimate way. Anyone who writes they got a great deal must be one of them trying to convince people to take the call. I have cancelled the card used so they cannot take anymore fraudulent payments from my account or drain my account.
