I received a demand to pay $39.99 to continue my free Avast security software from Digitsal River on 1st January 20014. I thought that AVAST was free but paid anyway. Today only 1 month later
I received another e-mail saying thsat my annual subscription had expired and I needed to pay anothe $39.99 (Aus).
I have only the transaction details on my bank statement. No license, registration etc. was provided.
This must be some scam?
