I cannot believe that a company of this size would treat it's workers (shoppers) with such a demeaning atmosphere. For the pitiful amount of pay they offer, they expect their worker to perform at a rate lower than minimum wage, as an independent contractor, without due compensation for mileage and numerous listed penalties for non-compliance. There are pages of instructions for the simplest of tasks. Not only is the shopper required to work as the mystery shopper, but spend another chunk of time filling out multiple forms with irrelevant detail down to the color of someone's eye's. These little bits of information are completely unnecessary as to the quality of service that a company is paying for an inquiry. There's an old expression: you can put lipstick on a pig, but it's still a pig. In this case, all the extra paperwork is only for the checkbook and ego of management. Nothing more. 2 hours of delay in submitting a report is not a big deal, as your company made it out to be. The dealership wanted to know what happened and how the service was. The clients don't care about your silly rules only designed to demean your workforce. You should be happy that someone even volunteered to drive an hour's distance in order to evaluate a dealership.
