Maxlend withdrew my scheduled interests and fees (authorized) and the total balance of my loan (unauthorized). I used the information that Monique posted on the board and got through to someone named "Susan" on 1/17/14. She told me to fax my bank statement showing the charges into their office (fax numbe also on Monique's post)and that the amount as well as fees would be returned to me.

As of this morning (1/18/14) at 9:43 CST, the charges have cleared my bank and I haven't heard anything from Maxlend. I started calling this morning at 8AM when the office was suppossed to open and I haven't been able to get through to anyone. The regular number is still busy and now the number that I was able to use yesterday is being answered by voicemail. I have left three messages and sent about 5 emails. Nothing!!!!!!!!!!!! I am so angry! My weekend is ruined and Monday is a holiday.

  • I Finally got through to someone this morning (1/19) about 20 minutes ago (10:00 CST). You have to call their main line (1-877-936-4336), the collections/recovery line is still going to voicemail. I spoke with "Hanson". He took my debit card number, put me on hold, and then said the funds were transferred back to my account. He said they would be available today or Tuesday. They knew I had been calling, emailing and sending documents, because when I gave him my name and SSN, he automatically referred to faxed documentation I sent on Friday. I am hoping it will work out. As soon as that money hits my account, I am blocking their access to my checking account and my debit card. They will just have to wait for me to send the money. Which, unlike them, I will do according to our agreement.

  • I finally got through today, and they asked for my debit card info and my money was returned into my account in about an hour. If your bank won't do that, they said it would be ACH'd into account no later than Wednesday, they are returning the money. Thank you God.

  • Are they truly making all of us whole?? I finally got through today and yes as with other customers we had to call my bank to verify the payments went through. HOWEVER, when the MaxLend agent asked the bank rep what NSF fees were charged, of course the bank rep said there were two (one for each of the MaxLend payments). When I tried to interrupt and say there were in fact more than 2 NSF charges that were caused by their error, the MaxLend agent cut me off. I was then told that I would not get my money back until Wednesday. In the meantime I have and other auto payments go through racking up more NSF charges. For anyone who has incurred overdraft fees, late fees, returned check fees, reconnect fees from other companies because of the MaxLend error, as far as I can tell,MaxLend has no intention of making this right and we will have to pay all of these additional fees out of our pockets due to their error. I still think a class action suit is forthcoming. They have gotten away with this with absolutely no media coverage and no suffering on their part. They got their money and then some while we have all suffered great distress over a holiday weekend.

  • News Flash!!!! Tuesday morning 7:52 (CST)...checked bank account and NO REFUND!!!!! I am so worn out with this problem...it sucked up all of my energy over the weekend. I've read other posters say they were told by MaxLend that funds would be returned by Weds. That timeline makes some sense because anything done over the weekend would just be recognized by the banking system today and all transactions SHOULD post by midnight. So, if they money isn't there by the beginning of business tomorrow morning....I will be all out of rational explanations....this is a nightmare!!!!!!

  • I have submitted a review to the Better Business Bureau about my experience with Maxlend. If my money isn't back by tomorrow morning....I will file an official complaint with them. I hate to do that because the BBB will post all of your particulars (e.g. name, company, problem, etc.) on the web. However, if I don't get satisfaction, I will just have to deal. Has anybody gotten their money back yet??

  • Just checked my account and they only refunded me $102 for 3 NSF charges. They owed me $1402!! If they can refund the $102, why not all of it?? Never mind the fact that there are 4 more NSF charges at $34 each that they refuse to reimburse, plush late fees to 2 other companies. This whole fiasco has cost me almost $200 so far out of my own pocket and MaxLend has no intention of making it right.

  • Okay, checked my account this morning (5:30CST) and the money was returned!!!! All 1375.04 of it. I didn't have any NSF fees, so I can't speak to whether they are sticking to word to refund those or not. However; I will never, use them again. I will be calling my bank today to inquire about blocking them from my checking account. I expect to be paying them in full next payday anyway, but I just won't go through this again. I won't go as far as to close my checking account, but I will cancel my debit card and get a new one in a heart beat!!!! Good luck to everyone, I hope they fix your situations as they should!!
