My bank called to say someone from great Britain tried to charge 39.95 to my credit card and that they didn't let it go through because it looked fraudulent. They told me I should call this number 877-374-0979 to find out what it was about and the person at that number just repeatedly asked me for my credit card number, no name or anything. I said I wasn't giving them my number and Im canceling my card and they said I will still be responsible for monthly charges if I don't give them my card number and cancel correctly. Can they do that?
