I purchased Vipre, but was having problems installing, so searched "vipre support" and this website came up first, so I called them. They convinced me they were the official support for Vipre. The computer had been having problems with slowness, so even though I am usually very scam savey I stupidly allowed them to take control of my computer when they convinced me there was a virus blocking the installation. I actually paid them $120 to "clean and debug" the system. After about 3 hours of them deleting files and "working on it", my internet went down. Then, another technician instructed me to try to fix it for about 2 hours, then declared that the virus had destroyed my computer, and the drivers had to be re-installed. It was working fine til they messed with it. My local computer tech has had it for a week, and still having problems even after installing new drivers. I had my payment rescinded through Amex, but it is costing me $ to have it repaired. They are in India, so I am sure I have no recourse to recover any costs. Very frustrating. BEWARE of them!!
