Complaint 29411 Details Scan your bills for fraud

Being a single mother in debt up to my ears, I was trying to get a personal loan in order to consolidate these debts. I was contacted by Patricia @ Stepps Financial Solutions who advised me that they would be able to finance a $5000.00 personal loan, the only fees that I would be responsible for would be the Insurance cost of $420.00. Being at the end of my "perverbial rope" I sent these fees and was told I would have my funds within 3 business days. On the third business day, I received a phone call from a "Paul Martin" in the "finance dept" who advised me that I would now have to pay an additional $500.00 in order to get the loan funded. I promptly advised him that I was no longer interested in their loan and wanted my "insurance option" refunded to me. He told me it would take 30 business days for that to be processed. I am still waiting (and probably will be forever lol) on that refund. In order to prevent them from accessing my information, I closed out a bank account that I have had for over 15 years and went to a completely new bank so that they would not be able to access any of what little money I still had. I also informed the bank that if anyone tried to make any transactions with this companies name that it was fradulent and should be reported as such. I should have know better, but I have now learned a very hard, but informative lesson. Never again will I fall for such a scam.
