Lots of Ford Vehicles have defective cruise control brake de-activation switches that can cause the vehichle to catch fire. I bought my vehichle last year. Ford says they mailed me a recall letter that I never received. On my way to Florida from Arkansas it caught fire. They replaced the switch and cruise harness. My brakes were still not working right(but they were before the fire). They said the vacuum booster was not working and they replaced it and made me pay for that! After my vacation is ruined and I'm broke and sickfrom breathing toxic fumes and heading for home, I find out my cruise control does NOT work! It went back to the Ford dealer here to find out the dealer in Florida cross wired the cruise control. Now Ford doesn't want to cover the vacuum pump and I am still sick two months after the fact because of the fire!Now I'm breathing fire! SDW
