In March of 2010 my car was at 53,375 miles and my oil light came on when I checked my oil in my car my oil tank was empty. I contact Piazza VW and told them that my car was burning oil and my light came on and when I check there was no oil in my car when I just had gotten an oil change. I was told to bring my car in for service, so on 3/13/10 I took my car in for service and they told me that nothing was wrong with my car and it had no oil leaks. However, I took my car home and it continued to burn oil, and I had to purchase oil on a continuous basis. I contacted Piazza VW again and this time I spoke to John Davenport and I told them that my oil light continues to come on and that my oil is burning out and I have to continuously put oil in my car. Again I was told that nothing was wrong with my car no oil leak and nothing was wrong with the oil light. From there I continued to get oil changes and after every oil changes and after approximately 2-3 weeks after my oil light would come on and I would have to continue to purchase oil and put it in my car. This has been going on for the past year. I then repeatedly called Piazza VW by telephone and in person telling them that my car is burning oil. I spoke to Sean, John, and Lenny on continuous basis and all they would tell me is that 2007 Passats consume oil as they get older.
Now its October 2011, and on Monday October 17, I was driving to a clients house because I work out in the field as a Social Worker and I use my car to make home visits. While driving my engine light came on I contacted Piazza VW and I spoke to Sean Gibson I told him that my engine light was on and could I drive my car or what do I need to do. Sean Gibson inturn stated that as long as it is not blinking that my car was drivable, and if it begins to blink I had to pull over. I was able to make it home all the way from Coatesville, PA. So the next day I took my car at 8am to Piazza VW and when i arrived I was told by Lenny that my car was out of warranty at 60,000 miles, so I left drove my car to another mechanic where he started to check to see why my car was miss firing. As my mechanic continued to take my engine apart piece by piece he found an internal oil leak, and instructed me to go and park my car because he could not fix my car that day because he had to take my engine apart and to bring it back another day; from their I took my car home and parked it.
In turn I went online to google if 2007 Passats had any technical Service bulletins about having problems with them consuming oil or oil leaks, low and behold bingo their was at least 20 or more tsb reports on 2006-2007 Passats consuming oil and having internal oil leaks. From their I contacted Volkswagon of America and I spoke to Allison VW customer advocate, and I told her my situation and that I have been complaining about my car burning oil to Piazza for a year now, and now my car has major damage to its engine due to an internal oil leak that I have been riding around with for an entire year. I explained to Allison now my engine is malfunctioning, my transmission is slipping, my coolant is burning out continuously I have to buy coolant and oil together. I explained first it was my oil burning out now its my coolant burning out as well. Allison asked me what I want VW to do and I told to to fix my car and to replace everything in my engine along with my transmission that got destroyed from the internal oil leak. Allison instructed me to provide them with proof that I went to Piazza VW before 60,000 miles complaining about my oil. So the next morning I contacted Piazza VW about faxing over a copy of the receipt showing that I came there last year complaining and I have continually been complaining about my car burning oil verbally and physically in person to them about my car burning and having to repeatedly buy oil for my car now I have to repeatedly buy coolant along with the oil. So Sean faxed up the information to VW of America. I was told that I had to wait 48hrs for them to make a decision. I received the receipts by mail also, because I instructed Sean to send me a copy of those receipts. When I received the receipts in the mail it states on them that consumer came in complaining about my oil light and their where no leak etc. The second receipt states that consumer came in complaining about oil pressure being low, no leaks, etc. But that is not what I told Piazza VW on the phone or in person, I repeatedly told them that my car was and is burning oil and now its burning coolant along with me having to buy coolant and oil. So they lied to cover themselves because no one checked my car internally the first time because if they did they would have found that my car had an internal oil leak and I would not have gotten to the point where my cars engine and transmission is destroyed 1 year later.

On October 21, 2011 I contacted Neil Berger and he was very short with me and I asked him why did my receipt state that I only contacted them about my oil light in turn when I told John that my oil light had came on and when I checked my car it had no oil in the tank and I had to go buy oil to put in my tank. I also told Neil that now my car is malfunctioning and misfiring and the transmission is slipping and my coolant is leaking out because they never checked my car internally last year then they would have seen that I had an internal oil leak. In turn Neil stated that the internal oil leak would not cause my car to misfire. I inturn told Neil yes it would if oil has been leaking on my spark plugs and everywhere else inside my cars engine for a whole year. Neil couldn't respond back to that answer. So in turn Neil stated very nonchalant that they were busy and they could not look at my car until Tuesday. I in turn told Neil that I need my car fixed because I need my car for work.

On October 21, 2011 I received a voice message from Allison at VW of America. I then in turn called back and spoke to a Nancy another customer advocate which stated that they would not be able to fix my car because when I went to get my car service in March of 2010, even though my warranty was in effect on the receipt it stated that I complained about my light and when they checked and drove my car 500 miles there was no leaks and my light was on. I in turn told Nancy that is not what I stated to Piazza VW I did tell them that my light came on and when I checked there was no oil in my tank and my oil is burning out, but they did no put what I told them on the receipt on purpose because they know that they did no check my car, because they only had my car for half day so how did they even drive my car for 500 miles so they are not telling the truth. I also stated that I have been telling Piazza VW for a whole year in person and verbally by telephone that my oil is burning out. So in turn Nancy instructed me if I contact the dealer and ask them to write a statement stating that I have been telling them that my car has been burning oil for a year.

I then contacted Neil Berger the manager at Piazza VW and when I spoke to him I asked him would he write me a statement stating that I have been complaining verbally and physically in person for an entire year that my car has been burning oil. In turn Neil was very nasty to me and stated I am not writing you no statement for no fabricated story, what are you going to sue me. In turn I stated to Neil first of the the story is not fabricated because I have told Sean, Lenny and John that my car has been burning oil in person and verbally by telephone that my car is burning oil and I had to keep putting oil in the car, and when I get an oil change 2-3 weeks later my oil light is coming on and when I check it my oil tank is empty bone dry, so tell me where is my oil going if your mechanics call themselves checking for leaks, and my car still continued to burn oil. I told Neil did they check my car by taking the engine apart piece by peice because they would have found that I had an internal oil leak last year and now my car would not be malfunctioning and misfiring, and I also told Neil that he doesn't own VW anyway so how am I gonna sue him, I just want my car fixed. I also stated that this is what VW of America told me to do in regards to getting my car fixed. Neil wanted to know who I talked to because he talks to a Michele all the time by email. I told Neil again that I have been telling John, Sean, and Lenny that my car has been burning oil continuously, and they know it. I then told Neil that I just want to be treated right as a customer and this is business, and whatever happen to customer satisfaction. I stated that I have been getting my car serviced for a very long time there and I don't have any reason to lie, because they know the truth that I had been complaining for a year about my car burning oil So in turn all of a sudden Neil told me to have my car towed in on October 21, 2011 and they would look at it. I had to get my car towed there on my own because it is not drivable due to it malfunctioning and internal oil leak, he did not even volunteer to have VW tow my car.In March of 2010 my car was at 53,375 miles and my oil light came on when I checked my oil in my car my oil tank was empty.
