I recieved information from my mother two days ago that an agency was trying to contact numerous people in my family to collect a debt. I had no idea what she was talking about, but decided to call this company and get to the bottom of it. I spoke to a Mrs. Barbara Baker at ext. 444. She claimed I took out a loan through CashNetUSA in 2010 and then immediately closed my bank account in order to avoid paying. While I did close my bank account, I did so because I noticed fraud. They claimed that this is considered check fraud and I must resolve the matter in 24 hours or there would be a warrant out for my arrest. Since I no longer live in state, they would also state that I fled. I immediately panicked and stated that I have proof I closed my account due to fraud. This did not matter. They said I needed to pay a fee to stop the charges being brought against me. So I gave them my information and agreed. I then received an email stating I now owed 1,300 but they would reduce it to 900. The email had three different companies listed: CashNetUSA, Regional Credit Solutions, and Northern Resolution Group. After doing some investigating, I realized this company is a scam. I contacted CashNetUSA and they have no file for me nor have they ever heard of this company. Fortunately I caught this before they took anything out of my bank account. Unfortunately, somehow these people have all of my private information including my Social Security # and Driver's License.
