The company advertised a cellphone indicating an ample supply. They took my order online and acknowledged receipt of my payment in full, and promised me tracking info within 48 hours. At this time, their site still indicated an ample supply.

I heard no more until I contacted them after the 48 hours, and was told "no longer in stock". They refunded my money.

Trouble is that this is not the first time they've defaulted on an order. Moreover, we have a contract for them to supply the phone, that they cannot unilaterally default on. I've asked them to let me buy one on the open market, in which case they might owe me about $50 for the higher price this might entail.

They reckon they can just walk from their obligation.

Apart from this result, I found their sales service staffed by someone lacking in any sense of actual customer service.
