Purchased NuWave Oven in May of this year. Around June 28th, received a call who said he was with NuWave Oven and wanted to offered me a chance to join a purchasing club with discount coupons for multiple businesses in my area. He was ver persuasive even after I told him I was a senior citizen and on a fixed income. He said the monthly charge for membership would be $39.99 but I would not have to worry about it because I had fifteen days to review the information and I could notifiy them immediately that I did not want to join and no money would be deducted from my account.
He also told me I would be emailed with instructions for redeeming the four gift cards totaling $100.00. I even received a confirmation call and was told by a woman that my email would be ready in twenty-four hours.
To-date there is no email and no mail from this company. However, on July 3rd, they deducted the monthly fee from my debit car. Today, June 5th, I called them at 1-855-259-1095 at 8am and spoke with Amy. I told her my story and she told me that my money was nonrefundable. She gave me Cancellation #UBA0705A. I hung up and immediately called back and spoke with Aleta. I realize these are probably not their names. Aleta listed to my story with the added twist I told her my intent was to report them for defrauding me. I did not tell her this until I got the correct name, spelling, and address of this company (United Benefits Advantage, 4873 Princell Anne Road, Virginia Beach, BA 23462). I told her Iwould be contacting the BBB in St. Louis when I got off the telephone. She then told me she could refun my money and it would be four to ten days before it would be credited to my account. I don't believe her. I wanted to send this information so that someone else would not get tricked the way I did. I honor my part in being gullible, but those cards were so needed.
Please check this out and help me get my money back. I know it is a small amount but it is the principle of this. They hoodwinked me. My address is (Personal Info Removed) and my telephone number is (Personal Info Removed).
