I had purchased a mobile wifi hotspot device, and signed a customer agreement for monthly prepaid service, with a monthly pay cycle, and a $0.00 termination fee. The clerk even stated that if i did not want to continue service, simply stop payments and the service will no longer be provided since i had bought the device outright. I was not happy with the service, so i discontinued payments as i was instructed. Since then, Verizon has contacted me, telling me they are suspending my service, for lack of payment in total of $170.00, and it was going to collections. I have not paid them, and am currently disputing the bill. I havent incurred any monetary loss, but it is causing major problems with my credit score, and costing me financially in other avenues of my life.
