I began receiving calls from this Company on July 30, 2013. I did not answer 3 calls from the Company due to having no idea who they were. Once I received a voice mail from the Company on 9/9/2013 stating they were going to turn me over to collections due to a delinquent account. I called the Company and come to find out the number was not a working number. Once I was able to find the number I spoke with, "David" whom could not release his last name, fine. David stated I had agreed to terms in November of 2012 and had already made my first and last payment totaling, $119.90. This may be true, however I am currently with a magazine Co., Hallmark Readers, Inc. whom are always professional, I travel for work and am rarely home to check my bank statements, if I saw a $119.90 charge I would have assumed it was for my normal magazine subscription. When David informed me I owed a little over $1600 to settle my account. I disputed this because I have never received one magazine or anything for that matter.. Why would anyone pay that amount of money for something they have never received. David said they had a recording of me agreeing to the terms. I asked to hear the recording. You can hear my voice saying, yes multiple times, however when the 'consumer' is asking the questions its just a loud buzzing and you can not hear what they are even asking. I asked for a copy of the recording and David allowed they can not provide me with the recording. I asked to at least hear a more clear recording of this 'verbal' agreement and was informed that, that is as clear of a recording they have due to their speakers. I asked when they were planning on turning me over to collections for this so called verbal agreement over products that were NEVER received, he allowed after 8 phone calls. So I checked my phone records and they have called me 5x in a matter of 2 months over this so called payment of over $1600 that they have not received but should have received in the last year.... That in itself does not make sense. If you are a professional business and do not receive the 'agreed' payment when the payment is due, the Company then calls you.. They do not wait 6 months with no payment to call you . I took it upon myself to check this company out online.. Not only do they NOT have a website, (unlike every other PROFESSIONAL Company)all I was able to find is hundreds of scam reports, reviews and complaints.. This is a joke and completely unruly. There is NO way anyone in there right mind would pay almost $2000 for paper, give me a break. This is a scam and pretty sorry one at that.
