I completed a survey for Netfilx and was 'rewarded' by being able to choose a free gift from a choice of three items at the end of the survey. I chose the green coffee bean extract and was asked to enter my card number to pay 'only the shipping fee' of $3.95. I received a package about two weeks later which contained capsules that were supposed to be green coffee extract. I tried them and saw no effect and determined that the product didn't have the active ingredients to do what they advertized it to do. I was disappointed but didn't think much more about it.

In about another two to three weeks I received another package in the mail with another bottle. The packing slip had no charges listed but I didn't order any more product and did NOT want it. I sent it back with a letter informing the company to NOT send me any more product. I thought that it was an error on their part. I received another the following month and repeated the process and attempted to call the company but was frustrated in my attempts to reach anyone who could help me. I went through this process two more times and then I noticed that my account balance was wrong when I was making a purchase at a store and the charge would not go through. I went into my bank as I had been without internet access for a few months due to a loss of my income suddenly. My bank showed a total of over $400.00 in charges and had charged me overdraft fees on top of the Skindiet charges. The fraud dept. at the bank claims that I 'subscribed' to a
'trial' and that because I entered my credit card number that authorized them to charge it and they would not open a fraud claim. I disagree wholeheartedly! They claim there was a box to check and a disclosure which is NOT the case at all. They also claim that the company has a policy about cancellation and I can't cancel with them unless I meet their criteria..... I need help as these charges at this point are creating a hardship that may be the difference between having a roof over our heads or not. My bank is Wells Fargo Bank. I am the sole support of my young granddaughter and I am currently disabled. Thank you for any help you can afford me in recovering all charges. Additionally, I never saw a charge for the 'shipping fee'. There were TWO charges for 89.98 and the others were for 49.98. They charged them from 3/21/13, 4//22/13, 5/20/13, 6/10/13, 7/19/13,and 8/19/13. As well as the bank charges of 70.00. Wells Fargo should not be defending these fraudulent companies at the expense of their customers.
