After i ordered a product over the telephone, the person kept telling me about offers after offers. I agreed and bought a one year of solution for the product I had called about.

I kept asking her for the total amount of my order for the product and the additional one year supply of the solution, she continued to go on and on, I kept saying no.

She then told me that the company would like to give me a complimentary copy of seven magazines of my choice. I told her I didn't read them, but she told me I could give them away.To end the call that was going on for 45 minutes, I said O.K.

She continued on asking if I agreed to the terms, I said I did.
She then said, "You understand that you cannot cancel under any circumstances" I said, "NO!
forget the magazines, cancel the order!"I hung up the phone.

Earlier in the ordering process, she had given me a 1-800 customer service so I could cancel at any time. I called the number two days later and cancelled the magazines.

I later received an invoice giving me credit for $39.90, and billing me for another month at $39.90. I wrote CANCEL and sent the invoice back to them.
I have since received two more letters thanking me for my order.

I,ve called VIP READERS tried to cancel their services and was informed that I was a liar and they had me credit card number and there is not anything I can do about it.

I was scammed into the whole magazine situation and I feel that something can and should be done to quit the harassment they are giving me through the mail and threatening me over the phone.

Please help me stop them from doing this to other elderly people on a fixed income.
